Planning a trip for a special group? The Pagosa Springs area is an ideal place to hold a special event and a private group tour at Chimney Rock National Monument is the perfect way to spend half a day. The two-and-a-half-hour tour will introduce your group to the ancient history of the Southwest. The tour is informative, the volunteer guides well-trained, the one-mile hike invigorating, and the views are spectacular. The Southern San Juan Mountains loom to the north and east. The mesas of New Mexico are visible to the south. In between is the lush valley carved by the Piedra River.
